The Step Into Prep Vest designed by Chantal of Knitatude is an intermediate level project worked in Meripaca, which is Chantal's favorite WAK yarn. It is worked in flat knitting in rib stitch stitch and features open sides joined by small elastic side bands. This pattern is worked in flat knitting but, due to the large amount of stitches you will need circular needles.

This project is worked in Meripaca. Our Meripaca results from bringing together two of our softest and high quality fibers out there! This yarn is very soft and fine, perfect for delicate knits and advanced knitters. Due to Merino's qualities, this yarn is highly absorbent, water-resistant, and insulative.
And the best part is that it is a Superwash treated yarn, which means it should be washed in the machine, using a gentle cycle program.}

Airing instead of washing goes a long way. Materials like wool are even naturally self-cleaning. Hand-washing is always the gentler option and the one we recommend. Dry the garment flat and let them always dry in the shade. Do not tumble dry. Do not wring.
